Past-Life work has the potential to allow healing and communication to take place between our spiritual and logical self. Groundbreaking psychiatrist and best-selling author of “Many Lives, Many Masters” Dr. Brian L. Weiss, was one of the pioneers in bringing this technique into common practice. When one of his patients spontaneously slipped into a past lifetime during a therapeutic hypnosis session, he was intrigued and thought she was making it up at first. Upon closer examination, there was no possible way that his patient could have previously known the many intricate details of things she experienced while in trance.
My own personal experience with past life regression came when I took my young daughter, then age 10 to see a hypnotherapist for an extreme fear of regurgitation that had grown into a phobia. While in trance, my daughter spoke using demeanor and words that she had never used before. She experienced a lifetime that had a direct connection to her symptoms and when guided through that experience with the therapist, she came out of hypnosis having resolved the fear that was driving the phobia.
Past life regression is not for everyone and not always necessary to resolve inner conflict, health concerns or behavior issues. There are other methods used in hypnosis that can be very effective. That said, for those interested and willing, past life regression can be a meaningful and therapeutic experience with astounding results.
